FlexiBus is our flexible and low cost on-demand public transport service for East Sussex.
The service will help to connect residents who live in areas with limited or no bus service to their nearest towns, railway stations, hospitals and other key destinations. The service is not available in places that have a comprehensive bus service available, such as in central Eastbourne and Hastings.
Simply book your ride through the Ride Pingo app or dedicated call centre on 01273 078 203. You request your pick-up and drop-off points when making your booking, but a short walk may be required to complete your trip.
FlexiBus is a rideshare service, this means you will probably share your ride with other customers who are going in the same direction as you. Passengers who book and pay directly from their smartphone through the Ride Pingo mobile app can track the minibus in real-time to the meeting point of your choice. Passengers can also pay by card*1 or cash on bus.
*1 -the on bus card machines are not operational at the moment.
The service costs around the same as a conventional bus.
