Lewes is the historic English county town of East Sussex, England. Full of quaint charming shops, lanes, pubs, shops and eateries to explore, Lewes is also an excellent shopping centre for just about anything you could want. Lewes is also a vibrant hub of local events and interesting places to visit including museums.

Lewes is the home of the Harvey Brewery offering tours and tasters. Lewes is also the police and judicial centre for all of Sussex and is home to Sussex Police, East Sussex Fire & Rescue Service, Lewes Crown Court and HMP Lewes. The civil parish is the centre of the Lewes local government district and the seat of East Sussex County Council at East Sussex County Hall.

How To Join As a Passenger

All we ask is that you must register as a passenger with CTLA before you use one of our buses for the first time.

Registration is free and quick using the form on this page. You can also register by telephoning our friendly team on 01273 517332 or online HERE. Once registered, you can book as many journeys as you like and also join our Travel Club.

CTLA is an award-winning charity providing affordable, accessible and safe transport to local people and groups.

Access: Our scheduled services can be used by anyone unable to easily access public transport. This could be due to unavailable scheduled services, mobility issues, additional needs requirements, location and more.

Come and Join us at CTLA

Why not join us at CTLA? We are looking for Bus Drivers and Passenger Assistants for our routes and services. Full support and training is provided.

You will be working in a relaxed friendly setting with a great bunch of people. You can make friends, meet new people, socialise… but best of all, you would be doing something really worthwhile in the community with an established award-winning charity.

CTLA is a Charity

CTLA is a community transport charity that has been serving people, charities, councils and communities across East Sussex for over 20 years.

Throughout that time CTLA has operated and existed with the kind donations, gifts, sponsorships and grants from people in the community to councils, charities, companies and associations. In recent times, never before has CTLA faced such testing times with rising core operational costs and fuel to keep the buses rolling.
